Ric's Adventures in Art Basel: Day 3 - Kill Your Idols
These were some left over pictures that I forgot to put up.
On the last night of Art Basel, Liz and I went to see a show at Marcy Gallery - this little gallery on 2nd Avenue right off of 40th Street in the Design District. Liz knew a band that was supposed to be playing, the Electric Bunnies.
We did end up seeing a band from Ohio play, which Liz posted a picture of in her Art Basel post, that I didn't catch the name of (who were REALLY extreme, reminded me of Post-Hardcore bands of the mid-90's).
But even more incredibly was that the place was plastered with punk rock fliers dating back to the late-70's, as well as large framed photographs of some old, first generation punk-rock idols: The Ramones, The Misfits, and several more.
It was incredible.
