Jacuzzi Boys Artist Profile (PS-14 March 6)

Gabriele, Diego, and Danny
The Jacuzzi Boys were the closers inside PS-14 the night of Blowfly’s 70th Birthday Bash on March 6. Typically at 3am you would expect club goers to be on their drive home or already curling up with their bedfellows, but on this early morning as Debbie D finished her bodacious DJ set Jacuzzi Boys' fans gathered around the disco ball as if the night had just begun.
As they kicked off their set the music drew me in like the warm bubbly waters of a hot tub and I joined their supporters near the stage.
The Jacuzzi Boys are a three piece made up of Gabriele (guitar and vocals), Danny (bass), and Diego (drums) and they sure know how to have a good time. In my opinion the Boys’ combined efforts are reminiscent of a cross between the Stooges, Dick Dale, and early Rolling Stones. Although their music sounds familiar, and plenty of bands have drawn from similar influences, the Jacuzzi Boys originality comes through in the fun lyrics, catchy hooks, and their ability to take you on a musical journey back to a time when life was simple.
Do they sound like old Florida ghosts? Take your ass to their Churchill's Pub performance March 27 with the Black Lips and judge for yourselves.
