This is a bit over due - my bad.

We have another new contributor to the site, Denise Diaz.  Denise was first brought on by Liz to take photos for the Global Cuba Fest from February 16, 2009.  And now she's fully on board.

Denise, carrying in the tradition of REVMiami, is an artist and a good person.  The people who work with REVMiami are self motivated and proactive people.  I can not stress the importance of surrounding myself by people like Denise.

I have already put her bio up on the Who Are We? page of the site, but I'm going to repost it here.  I'm also going to post up some pictures from one of Denise's photo projects, The Water Project.

Also, please check out Denise Diaz's Facebook Group page, and join it, and tell her how fantastic she is - her photography is breathtaking, as you'll see.

Denise Diaz, photographer by choice, observer by nature, has been capturing moments for as long as she can remember. The 25 year-old, energetic, pseudo-paparazzo is easily spotted amongst friends, as she’s always the lively individual with camera in tow. She currently works for Lifetouch, providing professional portraits for pre-schools and free-lances regularly for special events.

Though picking up the camera professionally just five years ago, Diaz has been scrutinizing images with her internal viewfinder since childhood. One doesn’t have to look far to notice this. Pictures adorn her house, film is profuse on her desk and camera equipment floods her car. Suffice it to say, photographs are paramount in her life. When she’s not working, she can be found honing her craft through special artistic schemes centered on water portraits accentuated with a ring light.

Always aware of her surroundings, Diaz finds comfort in viewing life through a lens—one that provides her the means to emphasize the spirit of a moment. When asked to explain her love for the lens, Diaz quotes well-known abstract expressionist photographer, Aaron Siskind: “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

NOTE FOR COMMENTS: Do not flame or leave obnoxious comments, THEY WILL NOT BE APPROVED. Constructive criticism should always be welcomed by any artist, but don't be a d-bag, show some class. Thanks. - REVMiami Staff
