Dinosaur jr. pictures from the Orange Peel 4/26/09

I caught Dinosaur jr. at the Orange Peel on a recent trip to Asheville, NC . They played as the original line up from the 80's of J. Mascis , Lou Barlow , and Murph. The boys played amazingly, as if they hadn't been apart for 20 years. J. Mascis' guitar set up was out of this world, his volume was cranked up to eleven for ear piercing solos. Lou Barlow played the hell out of his bass, heavy chords and lots of fuzz, he had an interesting rig as well. Murph was relentless on the drums, he looked like he was having a blast back there. It was surreal to finally see my heroes perform after all these years, and we were so damn close to the stage.
