Day 1 in Colombia
Ah, what a day.
The journey from Miami to Bogota to Cartagena went a lot smoother than I thought. I thought that language would be an issue, but it wasn’t. I never should have doubted my Spanish speaking abilities! I can say “No ablo espanol” fluently…and that actually helped me out, since most of the folks in the airport could speak a little english.
I got some pictures to show, but I’ll save that for another day. Just wanted to let ya’ll know that I arrived safely, met the family that I’ll be chilling with the weeks that I’m here, and I’m ready to get things moving
By the way, ALL the employees in the Colombian airports had on face mask…which kept my mind off of anything like um…swine flu.
I’m learning a lot about the politics in Colombia and looking forward to meeting/collabing with key people in the local hip hop scene.
Blesssings my people…I’ll blog with you soon.
