Yoga Series Surpases 500 Classes by Keith Lipsiznowaz

The Downtown Yoga Series recently celebrated its five hundredth class. Yay!! This event puts the "magic" in our Magic City. Held at Bayfront Park, at the Tina Hills Pavilion (across from the Hotel Intercontinental), this gathering offers our community free yoga, not once, not twice, but three times a week.
To be outside, near the water, during sunset, feeling the breeze, practicing yoga with a group of at least one hundred, is an experience.
Led by yoga instructor Jannee Alt, the 75-minute class goes through a variety of "asanas" or poses that will leave you with a relaxed body, a refreshed mind and maybe even some new friends.
Whether you are a Yogi or just a plain Boo-Boo, this ever growing event has something for you.
Free classes are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm and on Saturday mornings at 9am with Eva Arroyo.
If doing yoga in a big group isn't for you, Jannee Alt is available for private lessons. She can be reached at jannee@gmail.com.

OMG, Keith. You are such a boo-boo.
Come back to San Francisco. We miss you . . .
Thanks for this insightful article! I'm learning more and more about yoga everyday and it’s very empowering! Long live yoga and the spiritual self!
Congrats on the 500 class. How many years have you been consecutively running for?
Nothing better than free Yoga! What is the ultimate goal of this organization? Do they try to funnel in people to a paid class with the free yoga?
Believe it or not, but I wouldn't mind learning Yoga at one point, I know it is a girl thing, but I here it is good for your stretching and I could do with it because of my back.
A very impressive number of classes. The series does so well. Congrats.
