Farewell Call It Radar
Call It Radar is calling it quits. Tom Gorrio, formerly of Baby Calendar and Objects In Transit, is going to be moving out to California.
For anyone who never heard CIT's afropop melodic marvellousness, they will be playing their last show this Saturday, June 20 13 (sorry!), as part of PS14's (and presented by REVMiami) monthly artwalk afterparty Where Artists Meet Monthly (WAMM).
I first covered Tom in UnScene and Unite when he was first playing in Baby Calendar and Objects In Transit. Of course Baby Calendar soared off to get some decent national recognition, plus Tom's wife, Jackie, was featured in an episode of TLC's What Not To Wear.
I think that Tom's brother Renzo (who played with Tom in Objects In Transit) already lives in California and hopefully they'll have a new band sending music back to Miami soon.
Thanks for all the great music Tom. Don't forget us.
