Big City Breakdown 4: ArtOfficial - "Gone"
Big City Breakdown (BCB) is a bi-weekly video feature where local musicians are taken out of their typical performance element and placed at one of Miami’s outdoor hotspots as they present a song. The presentation will be shot in a single running take with no editing magic. BCB is an opportunity to showcase Miami’s best talent, highlighting their versatility without electricity, four walls, and other amenities of the bar and club scene.
We met ArtOfficial under the MacArthur Causeway and ran a few tests here and there. 95% of the boys were present and they brought everything but the kitchen sink. Manny brought a three piece kit with brushes, Ralf had an acoustic bass, Keith brought an alto sax and a flute, and both Newsense and Logics brought the dope rhymes.
The location worked out perfectly, I think the bridges tightened up the sound and add a nice visual appeal. The guys from ArtOfficial busted out for the shoot, they mixed things up a little adapting to the environment like pros. Even the fishermen enjoyed the slice of entertainment they had for the evening while they flipped their rods into Biscayne Bay.
