Big City Breakdown 5: Elastic Bond - "La Verdad"
Big City Breakdown (BCB) is a bi-weekly video feature where local musicians are taken out of their typical performance element and placed at one of Miami’s outdoor hotspots as they present a song. The presentation will be shot in a single running take with no editing magic. BCB is an opportunity to showcase Miami’s best talent, highlighting their versatility without electricity, four walls, and other amenities of the bar and club scene.
The shoot with Elastic Bond may be the most exciting one to date, first because they are at the top of my to favorite local bands list and second because we are welcoming Myriam Valdez to the crew, she contributed her sound engineer skills to this episode.
Elastic Bond met us at Daniel Fila's mural on 37th Street and Biscayne Blvd in the formation of: Sofy Encanto, Andres Ponce, Buffalo and David Burgos. In between the screaming sirens, soaring jet planes, and honking traffic we captured Elastic Bond performing a beautiful version of "La Verdad".
We had a great time shooting this episode with Elastic Bond they are a chill group of people, their vibe is reflected in their music and performance presence. Please enjoy "La Verdad" and get out to their myspace to find out about upcoming shows like Saturday August 15 at Jazid.
