Auteur Explosion X at Cinema Paradiso - September 19, 2009

I lost touch with my old middle school friend for over twenty years, but thanks to everyone’s new favorite social networking site we recently reconnected. Who would have guessed that having grown apart all these years Dawn Dubriel and I share so many common interests today?
Dawn invited Desiree Gutierrez and I, as The Deal, to perform at a monthly event called Auteur Explosion at Cinema Paradiso in Ft. Lauderdale. The cinema is a historic church transformed into a state of the art movie theater. Dawn and her fiancé John are instrumental in joining local musicians, artists, vendors, and filmmakers to show off their talents.
Check out how the night went down: It was sponsored by Poken Girl, Passion Parties and Funktional Interiors. The host was none other than promoter, Chris da Imperial. There were performances by, A.b.b.o.u.d., Yung Wilson, Kendra Williams, and The Deal.
There was art featured by Jen Lombardo, Marc Paper Scissor, & Samantha Leah Shiff then Muse Fusion performed a seductive belly dancing routine.
The following filmmakers presented impressive shorts: Jason Martin, Robert Dionne, Alissa Alvarado, Kenny Heidt, Aiden Dillard, Cassandra Bairan, Andrew Colton, and Dawn Dubriel.
