Stitch Rock 09- Delray Beach, FL 10/3/09

Stitch Rock!
My first roommate in college, Merin Seifer, was participating in Stitch Rock 09 and invited me to go. Apparently she started a company called Indie Storefront and has been designing t-shirts and other cool things. I hadn't seen her for years and was excited to see what she was up to.
I didn't know what to expect prior to arriving to the Old School Vintage Gymnasium in Downtown Delray Beach, but the concept of DIY arts and crafts intrigued me. Upon entering the building I was greeted with open arms, and amazed by the level of craftsmanship and local support.
The event was sponsored by Delray Beach based House of Vintage, specializing in vintage clothing, accessories, and furniture. They brought together a wide gamut of creative vendors from all over Florida and loaded the gym with almost fifty different booths. Merchants sold everything from handcrafted jewelry, purses, and hats, to t-shirts, stuffed animals, and artwork.
Merin's T-shirts kick ass! I'm glad we reconnected and that I made it to this event.
