Big City Breakdown 8: Sirens and Sealions- "Hopeful Heart"

Big City Breakdown (BCB) is video feature where local musicians are taken out of their typical performance element and placed at one of Miami's signature outdoor locations as they present a song. The presentation will be shot in a single running take with no editing magic. BCB is an opportunity to showcase Miamis best talent, highlighting their versatility without electricity, four walls, and other amenities of the bar and club scene.
For this long awaited eighth episode we had the pleasure of working with the guys and gals of Sirens and Sealions. The members included: Johanna, Chantal, Gerry, Matt, Nick and Daniel. Our meeting with the band was set in the evening on the Northern edge of downtown near the Adrienne Arsht Center. By the time we all got together the natural light had expired, so we traveled by foot in an entourage of about 15 people searching for a new location. We settled on an appropriate alternative full of light and had a blast with it.
As we rode around the Arsht Center, the Omni, and the Herald building Sirens and Sealions performed an impeccable version of their jazzy number called “Hopeful Heart”. Please enjoy this song as much as we did.
