¡MAYDAY! with closing acts Nas and Goodie Mob
Ok, so maybe that order isn't quite correct.
How fitting that this show is happening at the Adrienne Arsht Center, because this is as close as a hip-hop concert can get to art as possible. And that is my completely unqualified opinion, not being that big a fan of hip-hop.
And thank god that Rock The Bells came back down in one form or another! How bad was this past concert season without Langerado and Rock The Bells. Jeez. Hopefully this concert will blow up, sell out, and give them a reason to bring their festival back down again. Please, we're begging you.
From my perspective this show should really be more focused on the return of one of my favorite 90's hip-hop group, Goodie Mob. Soul Food, Black Ice, and other underground hits exemplified that very unique Southern group hip-hop like Bone Thugs n Harmony, (even though they were from Cleveland) and one of my favorite groups ever Crucial Conflict.
Also, for those of you who haven't seen these videos, please take a moment:
It has also been reported that Lil' Wayne's new album Rebirth is going to be a "rock album", so why not pair up with a group that already understands mixing live, rock music with Emcee's. Is this show also going to feature Lil' Wayne with his new group? I doubt it, unless he is looking to do an underground test drive without a huge amount of attention. But, there is room to hope for it.
Oh, and sorry hip-hop fans for breezing over Nas but I really don't follow the genre enough to say anything about him. I guess at one point he was a big deal but I honestly just don't know much about him. Feel free to post a comment if you want.

Its members were all born in Atlanta, and the group is based there with the rest of the Dungeon Family, a collective which includes OutKast and P.A. (Parental Advisory). Goodie was first heard featured on several songs from OutKast's first album Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.
