Big City Breakdown (BCB) is video feature where local musicians are taken out of their typical performance element and placed at one of Miami's signature outdoor locations as they present a song. The presentation will be shot in a single running take with no editing magic. BCB is an opportunity to showcase Miami's best talent, highlighting their versatility without electricity, four walls, and other amenities of the bar and club scene.

This episode is a follow up to our One Year Anniversary Party, as JESP was a featured performer, we wanted to highlight one of our city’s great talents and celebrate the success of our well-received event. For this shoot we choose the Magic City’s most magnificent Shepard Fairey mural located in a beautifully decorated courtyard off NW 2nd Avenue and NW 26th Street. When we arrived to the location there was a photo shoot taking place, so we patiently waited our turn.

JESP, known for his electro-pop sound, stripped away the bells and whistles normally accompanying his catchy vocal hooks and chose an acoustic guitar for this piece. He performed "Rising Sun", a romantically punchy hit that translates more powerfully in this special acoustic presentation. JESP shuffled up and down the length of the socio-politically adorned wall, belting out for the sun to send his lover home, as his tune bounced around the courtyard.
