Big City Breakdown 14: The Big Bounce - "Who's Side Are You On Anyway?"

Big City Breakdown (BCB) is video feature where local musicians are taken out of their typical performance element and placed at one of Miami's signature outdoor locations as they present a song. The presentation will be shot in a single running take with no editing magic. BCB is an opportunity to showcase Miami's best talent, highlighting their versatility without electricity, four walls, and other amenities of the bar and club scene.
The Big Bounce is steadily becoming a local favorite to everyone in Miami. Made up of Brendan O'hara on guitar, piano and lead vocals and Komakazie on beatbox, their mix of hip-hop, rock, and, R&B is unmatched. For a proper taste of what these musical bartenders have to offer take a listen to their recent release, "Champagne and Apple Juice" ,where their sound is fully realized.
I remember The Big Bounce shoot like it was yesterday, we met Brendan minus Komakazie at the orange peel sculptures downtown. Although Brendan was missing his beat-master, he was ready to throw down alone, kicking sculptures with his feet and even flexing his beat-boxing skills here and there. He performed a penetrating piece called "Who's side are you on anyway?" and dedicated it to the people of Haiti. The song's deep lyrics question the hidden agenda behind people's selfish actions and preach the importance of love.
You can catch The Big Bounce Tuesdays at The Florida Room at the Delano Hotel.
Thanks for the on the spot theme song Brendan!
