"I'll Never Let You Go, Jack" at Titanic Brewery
I usually don't go about posting random shows on the site, but I couldn't gloss over this one.
Radioboxer, Rebel, and The Morning Flesh Project are 3 bands that have been closely related to REVMiami. If you haven't already seen them, I urge you to watch the Big City Breakdown videos of both Radioboxer and The Morning Flesh Project. I would even go so far as saying they're the two best ones that we have (so far).
Also, I've personally worked with Rebel on so many shows I've lost count.
All 3 may be considered "Latin Rock", but I would disagree. A better description is 3 different bands with Latin people in them playing rock music. Really, it goes to show my theory of the imminent assimilation of Miami's Hispanic youth, and probably in another couple of generations we'll be speaking about Los Marielitos the same way that North-easterners talk about Forty-Eighters (after the failed European Democratic Revolutions of 1848, a huge amount of Europeans, particularly Germans, immigrated to Pennsylvania, New York, and other areas in the Northeast).
Either way, this show has one great thing going for it, location! Titanic Brewery is one of the few rock friendly music venues in Miami that aren't in the middle of the ghetto.
Plus, it's being backed by the University of Miami's WVUM.
Show starts at 10pm, hope to see you there.
