Photo Journal: Lucky You 3 at the BAC 11 November 12

Located in the upper portion of the Wynwood Arts District, the Bakehouse Art Complex is home to 70 artist studios and two galleries, hosting exhibitions monthly. The BAC provides accepted artists with 24/7 access to studio space and the community with the unique opportunity to visit the artists in their creative environments. In order to keep thriving, BAC holds an annual fundraiser appropriately titled Lucky You. Being new to Miami and with the desire to dive into its unique art community, I welcomed the opportunity to go and photograph the event.
Besides the open bar, delicious hors d'œuvres, and gourmet pizza, party-goers had the chance to win artwork from over 60 BAC and other local artists. I had never seen anything like it. Artwork was taken right off the walls of the BAC's Audrey Love Gallery, allowing lucky guests to go home with their pieces that night. As if that wasn't enough, guests were thrilled to be treated to cupcakes and a live performance from Miami's Panic Bomber. Enjoy the photos, but most importantly, if you haven't already, visit the Bakehouse Art Complex. Their next exhibition titled SIN!, kicks-off Art Basel on November 29th from 7-10 p.m.
