REVMiami's Staff
Ric Delgado
Co-founder, Head Editor
Ric began his work in the local Miami music scene in 2005, after returning from Tallahassee, Florida after 5 yeras of school at Florida State University where he graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in History.
Always a writer, Ric had published a single issue of a magazine called Alternate Lexicon, a literature and art zine, when he was approached by a local Miami promoter to begin publishing a local music zine called UnScene Zine, which eventually evolved into Unite Magazine.
After taking a couple of years off, Ric returned to the local music and art community with REVMiami. He founded REVMiami on some very simple principals:
1. That he and every contributor only cover the topics that truly interest the author. There are no "assignments" for the contributors on REVMiami. If his contributors only cover their passionate interests, then the content on the site will always be reflective of that. Passion breeds passion.
2. To only cover local Miami topics in the world of creativity.
3. Never "bash" or put forth negative assesments. Art is inherently subjective, and therefore there is no "good" or "bad".
4. A commitment to honesty. With a lack of centralized information in Miami, people are hungry for honest perspectives of events, as a form of consumer advocacy.
5. Consistency, consistency, consistency. If all else doesn't work right, the only thing that matters is continued effort.
REVMiami was founded in December 2009, and recently celebrated it's 1 Year Anniversary.

REVMiami's Other Contributors
Alexandra Elizabeth
Our dearest Alexandra is like the Chinese wine industry: young, fine, and expanding limitlessly. Her desire for photography has lead her to documenting Berlin busses to oil platforms off the coast of South America. Raised by her mother who was the daughter of an Armenian aristocrat, and her father who was a simple time traveling archeologist who wooed her with his poor grasp of Russian.
She grew up under the tutelage of the pioneer of Electro Gospel music, Reverend Bonander, who not only passed down his love of distorted harps but also chicken madras. Alexandra is currently running a marathon while feeding and nursing orphans in Cambodia. She will soon be arriving in the states with renewed admiration for barefoot distance running and a young Cambodian child under her arm.

Denise Diaz
Denise Diaz, photographer by choice, observer by nature, has been capturing moments for as long as she can remember. The 25 year-old, energetic, pseudo-paparazzo is easily spotted amongst friends, as she’s always the lively individual with camera in tow. She currently works for Lifetouch, providing professional portraits for pre-schools and free-lances regularly for special events.
Though picking up the camera professionally just five years ago, Diaz has been scrutinizing images with her internal viewfinder since childhood. One doesn’t have to look far to notice this. Pictures adorn her house, film is profuse on her desk and camera equipment floods her car. Suffice it to say, photographs are paramount in her life. When she’s not working, she can be found honing her craft through special artistic schemes centered on water portraits accentuated with a ring light.
Always aware of her surroundings, Diaz finds comfort in viewing life through a lens—one that provides her the means to emphasize the spirit of a moment. When asked to explain her love for the lens, Diaz quotes well-known abstract expressionist photographer, Aaron Siskind: “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
Elizabeth Ferguson
Elizabeth was first discovered on a Cutler Ridge doorstep, and hatched from her space pod during a Harvest Moon, having been left behind by a bizarre extraterrestrial race. After her escape from the pod, Ms. Ferguson immediately began documenting her unfamiliar surroundings with a 35mm camera.
In 2001, she left the Magic city doing stints in Boston, Southern California, Key West, and remote areas in and around the US/Canadian border. This intergalactic beauty has returned to Miami with a mission - to document the splendor that is Miami's arts/music scene.
When not snapping photos for REV, you can find Liz zigzagging through South Beach traffic on a blue bicycle, on her way to yoga class.
